general care guide
Your Milla Hart pieces are made to move with you - and with the right attention, they will. Find everything you need to keep your accessories, like jewellery, bags, belts and shoes looking exactly the way they should. A little care goes a long way.
Every pair of Milla Hart sunglasses comes with a protective case and cleaning cloth - the two things worth reaching for first. Use the cloth regularly to lift fingerprints and keep your lenses looking the way they should. A lens cleaner from your local optician or pharmacy is all you need; a quick clean, no fuss.
What to skip: submerging them in water. Hot, cold, either way - it can warp the frame and damage the lenses in ways that aren't fixable. A little care goes a long way with a pair this good.
When you’re not wearing them, store your frames in their Milla Hart case.
Day to day
- After wearing, give your pieces a gentle wipe with a soft or microfibre cloth to lift any dirt or oils. For a deeper clean, a little mild soap and warm water does the job - rinse well and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
What to avoid
- Our jewellery is waterproof, but harsh chemicals are a different story. Keep pieces away from chlorine, bleach and strong detergents - they can break down the finish over time.
- Even with a PVD gold coating, it's worth being mindful of abrasive surfaces. Take your jewellery off before anything that could scratch or dent it.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place; a jewellery box with separate compartments or a soft pouch works best to prevent scratching and tangling. Avoid humid spots; moisture can cause tarnishing over time.
- Waterproof before first use. For faux suede styles, use a PU-safe suede protector.
- For everyday dirt and dust, a light surface spray, baby wipes, a small amount of Morning Fresh (or similar) detergent or a slightly damp cloth with warm water will do the trick.
- Stubborn marks or grease stains? A small amount of eucalyptus oil or Gumption on a clean cloth, rubbed gently, will sort it out. Test on a hidden spot first.
- Give PU items a little air every couple of weeks to keep them fresh and mould-free.
- Don't overfill bags. Carrying less weight means less stress on the handles and a longer life for the bag.
- PU and faux suede can transfer colour when damp. Be mindful when wearing with light-coloured clothing.
- Lighter styles can pick up dye from dark fabrics like denim - worth keeping in mind when styling.
- For the inside lining of Bags, baby wipes or a little Morning Fresh detergent are all you need. Quick, easy, done.
